The Unión Centroamericana de Fútbol (UNCAF), or Central American Football Union, was formed in 1990 and represents seven national football associations — Belize, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, and Panama — all of which are also members of CONCACAF. From 1991 to 2017, UNCAF organized the Copa Centroamericana as its premier national-team tournament (originally the UNCAF Nations Cup), also serving as a CONCACAF Gold Cup qualifier; Costa Rica won the competition eight times, the most of any nation.
