Malta Football Association (MFA)
The Malta Football Association (MFA), founded in 1900, is one of the oldest football governing bodies in the world — predating FIFA itself and outdated by only ten other European national federations. It joined FIFA in 1959 and UEFA in 1960. Malta's first national league season ran in 1909–10, and the MFA today organizes the Maltese Premier League and FA Trophy for men, alongside a growing women's competition structure whose national team first competed internationally in 2003.
